Professional organisations have recommended minimum safety features for container cranes to reduce injuries, loss of life, damages and delay to port and terminal operations worldwide.
One of these recommendations is the installation of travel anti-collision sensors, with a minimum of 2 detection zones:
- Warning or slow down
- Stop
Detection range shall be such to allow enough time for the crane to come to a “normal” stop.
Detection zones shall be designed for pathway and cross-travel anti-collision.
Our radar-based sensor helps prevent collisions between cranes and vehicles.
