Collision prevention with DISTER at container terminals
DISTER is a FMCW-Radar working in the frequency range from 24,00 – 24,250 GHz.
DISTER is a radar designed to prevent collisions between cranes or between cranes and vehicles running on the same way.
On quay it helps and assists crane or straddle carrier driver against collision accidents between STS’s or STS’s and Straddle Carriers.
On yard it helps to prevent accidents between yard cranes (RTG’s or RMGC’s) and vehicles (trucks or other vehicles).
DISTER DT11/11 is able to detect moving and stationary objects up to a distance from 40m.
The adjustable distance is in 1m steps from 4 to 40m.
The antenna characteristics is 11° (+/- 5,5°) vertical and horizontal.
DISTER DT5/14 is able to detect moving and stationary objects up to a distance from 40m or 100m. The adjustable distance is in 1m steps from 4 to 40m or from 10 to 100m.
The antenna characteristics is 5° (+/- 2,5°) horizontal and 14° (+/- 7°) vertical.
DISTER DT150/11 helps to prevent boom collision with the upper part of the vessel.
The antenna characteristics is 150° (±75°) horizontal and 11° (±5,5°) vertical.
The adjustable distance is in 1m steps from 2 to 16.
Prevention of travel collision between Overhead Bridge cranes with DISTER
At industrial workshop, DISTER is used for anti-collision system between Overhead Bridge cranes travelling on the same runway.
